As many of you know, I love the country and I'm really looking forward to go back soooo I spent the weekend celebrating all things Irish. Friday I ended up at a house party where if you weren't wearing green, you had to leave (I saw them do it!!!!). Thankfully, I was prepared! On saturday, I hosted a party for Montreal's Couchsurfing community. We were about 100 at a local dive and had a hell of a good time.
On Sunday (weekend wasn't over oh no!), I went to the Parade! Yay!!!! I got to stand around with 300 000 other people outside and scream and laugh and have a good time. Afterwards, we went out to celebrate at the newly re-opened Cheers (name changed, but it's still Cheers...). I'll be honest and admit that it was a hardcore day, I have the laryngitis to prove it, but it was nice to see some people. For example, there are these two old guys from Boston who come up to Montreal every year and for the past 4 we just meet them at the bar. It's a nice constant thing that we look forward too every year! Anyhow... I won't post pics from Sunday since they're all rather salacious or fuzzy (no comment).
On the knitting front, I restarted the Bird in Hand mittens. Love the way they're looking. The Placed Cable Aran is also looking good, 2 inches left. I should be done by now but I'm lazy. I'm just rethinking the shoulder decreases...I don't know if something's wrong with my math or what, but yeah...boooo!
OK that's it for me! Play safe and don't talk at the movies!
(just trying something new...even though I stole it from John Moore)
