Another sock down!

The first Poma-nanana is grafted and lookin' miiiiiighty fine if I do say so myself. I'm hoping that the second one will go super fast, especially since the pattern is all common sense. The second toe-up sock is also coming along quite nicely. Now again, I'd show you pics of said gorgeous socks if I had my fucking camera.

Now I'll distract you from the lack of fibery pics with a (dated) pic of a furry little man who's been MIA on the blog for quite some time...

One sock down...I mean up...!

Yesterday night, I finished the first of my toe-up socks. Yay!!! I started the second one asap and now, I'm halfway up the foot. This past weekend, I've become seriously addicted to a PBS mini-series called The War. It's incredibly interesting and amazingly directed. I know that I've never been much of a history affictionado, but I can't resist being told about history by the people who lived it.

I really appreciated all the nice comments from youz gals! I agree with Alison, this blog is in serious need of some Serge time. I also need to finish re-updating my blogroll, so if you're not there yet, don't worry, it's a comin'!

What else?...Hmmm...Well...I guess that's it for tonight!

I felt like a new template. Don't get me wring, I still love pink but I don't want to think Pepto-Bismol every time that I check my blog... What do you guys think?

In which I whine and talk about socks...

I want my camera back....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! The meanies who are holding it captive have declared that if it's not fixed within another 4 weeks, I get a new camera for free...but I ask them...what am I supposed to do while I wait???????????????? UGH!

Complaining over!

I've been contemplating picking up the stix with Arwen again...I know, I know, it's been a while, but I'm becoming such a sucker for the sock-ness...My toe-ups are looking good, I'm on the leg of the first and on the toe of the second. I'm liking this toe-up buisness, the only thing is that I don't really know how to adjust top-down patterns into toe-up-ness so...I guess it'll just have to be trial and error.

I've also cast-on for a pair of Poma-nanana's (too complicated to pronounce at midnight, let alone spell). I had started a pair once before and was really just...confused but now, my training wheels are off and I'm at the heel of sock numero uno. I like the pattern! The first repeat required some attention because of all the yarn overs, but by the second, I just realized that it's actually pretty simple to memorize as long as you can see where your yo's are. This is definetly not my last pair of Poma-nanana's.

Speaking of socks, I got my september sock club kit from Robyn's store and I must say, I like. At first, it was just a plain liking of the colorway (which I would show you, but you know...no fucking camera!) but it's growing on me. There's also the fact that my mom and sister are strongly debating over who'll get the sock I'll knit with said yarn...I think it's cute...they don't realize that the socks will be mine...muhahahhahahaha!

Other than that...nothing much really. I've been thinking about doing a project for charity. I don't know...I'd like to make a blanket or something for a kid who needs the comfort...maybe I'll check with the local kid hospitals and see what can be done. I'd like to be started by the holidays...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Mea culpa, since school's started again, I'm all engrossed in my readings and stuff which could explain the absenteeism...But here's what's going on in my world:

Socks!

Yep...that's about it! LOL! Since I've finished the Charade socks, I've cast-on for my first pair of toe-ups. I'm working on the leg of sock one. I have to say...I like this toe-up business, it's simple and there's no heel flap! Yes yes! No heel flap!!!!! I've also cast-on for a pair of Pomatomus'. They're GOR-GE-OUS!!!!! Now, I'd show them off...only...*here comes the rant* fucking Best Buy has had my fucking camera for four fucking weeks. Fuck fuckitty fuck fuck fuck!!!!! *sigh* ok, rant over.

This sunday, I'm heading out to Roxboro with Robyn to go check out The Wool Gathering. More on that at the end of the weekend.
