Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

So this afternoon, I went here this afternoon because I needed to do something for me. I sat down, told Glen (my other gay husband) to do whatever he wanted. I gave him 3 constraints. Uno, I reminded him that New Years eve is only a mere 48 hours away. Duo, I told him that I didn't want to be bald. Trio, I reminded him that I'm single and that I better look fucking hot!

Hihi!

Here's the result, but first, a before pic...

Yeah I know...pretty wonky huh...that pic is from a Christmas party I had at my place with some girlfrieds from school. Please disregrd the bow in my cleavage, it's part of a bunch of similar pics with not just me...

Okay, drrumroll please...drrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...here she is, the new and improved...

ME!

I have some other stuff ot post, but it'll have to wait, gotta go show off my new look!

"I am flying ninja kitty...you can't make me take a picture!"

"You can't seeeeeeee meeeeeeee!"

From the little man and me,
May your Christmas be happy and peaceful. May you be surrounded by people you love and cherish. May your belly be full of food and drink and your heart full of happiness. Merry Christmas!

Much love!

Holy Holidays!

That's what super-holiday-man (my superhero of the moment) would say... Mright...Anyhow...I've been knitting like crazy, I turned th heel of the sock and let me tell you...I can't wait to slip my foot in there. The only thing though is that I'm a little concerned about mainenance of the sock. It's 100% merino and doesn't go in the wash... I'm going to have to hand wash them...This could be funny... Anyhow, I have a whole foot AND other sock to worry about before I should start thinking about that...OK...back to knitting I go!

Happy Knitting!

Last night

Last night was the knitting thing. Lots of fun, met some new people! It was nice to finally be able to sit down and knit for more than 10 minutes. I'm almost done with the leg of the first River Rapid sock, here's a progress pic taken by the Robyn.

This this knits up so fast and so pretty...and the yarn...like buttah!

Hihi, did you catch my Mike Myers bit?...Maybe not...Anyhow...I'm hoping to turn the heel on the sock today, but I also have to go to the yarn store to pick up some...wait for it...YARN (oh yeah!) for my brothers holiday gift.

As there's been some askng about Serge...here he is, in full Diana Ross style...Ladies and germs, I give you...

My cat looking reallllllllllly pissed...hehehehehehe

This is a pic from our tree trimming party, Serge litterally went bonkers over streamers and the tree itself. I actually found him sitting in the tree...I swear to you my cat is not normal...Anyhow...

Happy Knitting!

Mischief managed

As I was reading over some of my past posts, I realized that this blog is more about my personal issues rather than about knitting. I'm going to try to get back to the point of the blog...KNITTING. So I'm off to go continue my River Rapid Socks!

Bah Humbug...

Yes, I'm sure you're all *shocked* at my holiday grumpiness. School finishes in 3.5 hours. Should be happy but amen't... Need rest. Need for it to not be the holidays... I know, I know...surprise, surprise! I need to party and drink and party and drink and meet boys...The lack of "boy" situation is getting on my nerves (mainly because it's nice to have a date to radom crap like hmm...NEW YEARS). I hate it...I want to curl up in my bed and watch crappy holiday movies one after the other after the other...you get my point.

On the knitting front, I'm still knitting...(hihi) working on the socks, they're pretty but not growing much since I'm too...I don't know...hopefully once vacation brain sinks in, I'll be able to sit and knit a little.

Happy knitting!

I'm exhaling...

I'm back...no really, I am! Huzzah! Last saturday was the last showing of the show I was working on. After the show, we took everything down (spotlights ad the set which was made of tires) and then we drank beer for many many hours. It was such a relief to be done with it but at the same time it was a little sad. Anyhow, I had a wedding last sunday (yes after the night of one too many beers). I have to say, it was beautiful and touching. It was a jewish wedding, the cantor had a gorgeous voice. The singing made everything a little less "clinical", it was a very joyful night. The bride was one of our neighbours up north. I met her when I was 4 and she was a great rolemodel for me growing up. So yeah...we partied it up!

In knitting news, I started new socks with some Knitpicks handpainted merino yarn. I'm doing these socks. Yay...more socks! I have to say that the yarn is ridiculously soft and a pleasure to knit with. I look forward to posting some pics eventually. I also want to be able to go get some fucking Lopi yarn, but I have to go to ONE specific yarn store to get some...*grumble grumble* Anyhoo...semester is almost over, did my only final this morning...It's beggining to smell a lot like Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy knitting

Speaking of an Fo...

BOOOOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAA! I finished the pair of pink socks. My lack of digi-cam prevents me from showing them off. My mom tried them on this afternoon when I finished them and I think she's still wearing them so...I guess those socks weren't meant to be mine. I like to think about it this way...one less gift to buy for Christmas. Next on my list...I don't really know...there's a hat that my brother really wants and I'd like to have the wavy scarf sometime before 2008... I'm thinking about putting up little percentage thingies so that I can keep track of the things I'm knitting but that also seems like a bad idea since I'm really bad with numbers (I do are people!). Anyhoo...hopefully Santa will be nice and bring me a camera so that I can take pics of what I knit rather than clumsily try to describe them online (I don't know if you remember the blue/pink/brownish socks...enough said) AND, I could also post pics of Serge who is still so fucking adorable.

Happy knitting!

FO-itis

The downside to doiing what I'm doing these days (running around like a headless chicken, ripping my hair out, trying to finish term papers as well as working as a lighting technician EVERY night for yet another week...unpaid, OF COURSE) is that no matter how much I try, I can't get enough knitting time in to finish anything. I want to cry! No I don't...but I kinda just want to finish SOMETHING. It's not like I have a sweater on the needles, I just need to finish decreasing the toes on the second pink sock and I want to finish the Lopi scarf before 2007 (I'm giving myself a time extension, I need to go find some yarn to match it with).

I know that all this is sounding rantish, it's just that I'm looking at everyones blogs and all I see is FO's, FO's and more FO's...I guess I'm just a little jealous of the more prolific and finger speedy knitters. Anyhow, I think that by the end of the week I should have at least the sock finished. I'll work on them in the metro on my way to school.

In other news, Christmas music is on at my place. Cookies have been baked. It snowed yesterday. Can you smell it...can you? That being said, I joined Robyn's stitch marker swap. Can't wait to get cracking!

On that note...

Happy knitting!

Saturday

It's a lazy saturday here, I'm baking cookies and chilling at home. Worked a bit on my scarf...I'm just trying to wind down before the show tonight. Thanks to everyone who commented on my rant! I've calmed down a little...I do need some yarn therapy. That'll come eventually...

Just wanted to post to say that I'm alive!

Happy Knitting!
