She's back!

It's been a while since my last post, it's just that stuff has been going on - that just means that I've been working too much and couldn't muster up the energy to knit or blog- but I'm taking a few days off, so here I am! Last time I said I had some pics to add for your viewing pleasure...here they are:

Now this is the "scrawl...it's about halfway done on this picture...Note the fact that it's pink (!) and mostly, that yes, it is as soft and fuzzy as it seems...

Now this is what I call up close and...out of focus...damn! Well, you can get the gist of it, it's a basketweave pattern...I'm so damn creative!

And finally, the one thing I'm most proud of, which again (...) is out of focus is my stash of Rowan Cork for my cabled sweater. It's an interesting shade of red...I enjoy it!

So that's that for my picture show! Join me next time when we explore the world of black and white pics....just kidding

Happy knitting!

Temporarily out of action

I couldn't bring myself to blog recently due to the heat and to my frustration with socks. Those of you who feel my pain cause of the heat, I hope it'll be a more...tolerable temperature soon enough. As for the socks...well...they're on hiatus just cause they don't seem to work for me. They will...at some point, I've just put them on a time out for the next few weeks. In the meantime, I treated myself (!) to some Naturewolle, that sexy hand-dyed German wool that's on the right-hand side of the door at Mouliné. With it I've started a scarf-shawl (scawl for short...) with a checker-board pattern. I think it'll be cute for the fall...Oh, by the way, it's hot pink which it quite a stretch for me, but surprisingly, it's very un-pepto-bismol-like. I've also started a sweater for myself(!). But this time it's really going to be for me...really...it's from the 2004 fall-winter Rebecca, it's a cabled sweater with a very wide neck. It'll be made out of Rowan cork (merino) in a dark auburn color. Hopefully it won't make me look like a pumpkin...Anyhow, at the worse, it'll be an über-cozy sweater for the fall.

So it's an era of change in Kadi's knitting world: pink, more than one project at once, a sweater - nay, a cabled sweater - and sexy sexy feeling yarn....

Hourray for change!
