I hate being in a bad mood...I really do! And to be honnest, it happens less and less often. It's just that there are days like today that just piss me off to an extent that I'm probably turning into a menace to society for the next 15 mins.....GRRRRRRRRR! It all started when I woke up early to register for my classes for the fall semester...I should have stayed in bed where I was comfortable and had nothing to piss me off(except for the alarm clock but it would have hit the wall providing a great deal of joy in me!!) So here comes innocent (!) little(!!) me who want to register for my tiny little 4 classes and I can't log on to the system thing where you pick and chose your classes...So then I grumpily head to work, get there early and am greated by a dozen messages on the answering machine of people whining. Just plain old complaining. Now usually, after a good cup of tea, I can deal with it and actually manage to make people happy but today....OOOOOOOH no! Anyhow, I keep trying to register and still...no luck. I decide to call wondeirng if something is wrong with what I'm doing or that they delayed registration without notice or the university was blasted into the outer rims of Uranus(I had to...hihihi) who knows. I call...have to stand the elevator music blasted in my ear for 20 minutes...and the lady says..."well there's nothing wrong with your file...sorry " and click...hangs-up...HANGS-UP!!!!!!!! Oh nononononononono, not to me you don't.
This happened 5 minutes ago so it's all fresh in my mind I had to rant about it and it made me feel better...actually I think the sad fact that I used the word Uranus in my blog made me feel better....
On a happier-knittier note, I'm such a chicken I'm just petrified at the idea of blocking...I don't even understand why, I got the Dollorama foamy puzzle pieces (thanks for the tips ladies) and I just keep looking at it going..."I'm going to screw it up...stop looking at me like that...STOP!" Actually no, the truth is I just am petrified that I'll muck it up and my wirsts don't want to endure the pain of reknitting this thing...They're odd these knitting injuries...

Oh Secret Pal O' Mine....
This is my first participation in the whole Secret Pal thing outside of when I worked at daycamp so...here we go!
1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
In all due honesty, I do like natural fibers more than anything, but I have nothing against Red Heart and Lion Brand because sometimes, you just want to knit and you just don't have the means to support the addiction...lol! So to answer the question, no I'm really not a yarn snob!
2. Do you spin? Crochet?
I do neither although I'd like to learn to crochet eventually.
3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)

Home stretch
I think I can, I think I can...I'm almost done with the sleeveless turtleneck from EasyKnits for my mother. If I can get around to it, I'll post a pic of it before I assemble it. Once this is done, that'll be it! I'll no longer be a "sweater virgin"(hihi, I made it up!). The only thing is that I have to block it which, I must admit scares the crappers out of me since I've never thought about doing it...Thankfully, most books say that it's hard to muck it up so...we'll just have to make sure it's Kadi-proof. Alright, well the pics should be on tonight and I think I'll be making a blocking board tomorow since it's my day off(HUZZAH!) and by the weekend, the whole thing should be wearable...I hope...a lot...

Proud Kadi
I've realized that I'm now a true hardcore knitter...I mean, I gave up going out for coffee with people in order to just come home with a cup of tea and just knit away at a sleevless turtleneck for my mom. What's wrong with me???????? Omg! Alright, well to further enter the world of knitting geekness, here I go, this is now becomming a knitting blog! I know what you're thinking...EGAD! That's what I'm thinking too, but I just can't stop, especially since i've met the ladies from Montreal Knits, I'm completely screwed.....Anyhow, I have some armhole shaping to do(this is it, I've entrerd the world of super shame!! what will my mother say?!?)

Question period...
I was wondering, why are there cults? I was watching Dr. Phil yesterday (yes I know...I'm a little ashamed...) and he was talking to two girls that were born into a cult where girls are taught that men are the big cheese and that the only function of a female is to pop out as many kids as possible. Not only this but men in this cult are allowed to have a trillion "spiritual" wives who are often their first wives cousins, sisters, etc. Now I find this odd...Isn't the US on a holy crusade to fight against the all evil Islam, which promotes polygamy while the same thing is hapening in their own homeland...I mean, I can't really decide whether I am for or against polygamy, I have 8 grandmothers but the context was different. In Africa, in the 20's and 30's, it was normal for a man to have many wive, but no more than 4. On top of that, if a man chose to marry more than one lady, he had to be able to assure the same lifestyle for each one. So basically, only wealthy men were allowed to be polygamists. The polygamy of my grandparents though was a cultural one. It had nothing to do with a leader saying that my grandma's were inferior, I mean hey, if I listen to what my parents say about their childhoods, the women ran the show...literally, both my grandpa's ended up just being sperm banks (I'm sure they complained tons...lol) while my grandma's formed mini-societies with their families. It was happy and no one was forced into it so far as I know.
I guess that I'm appalled by what I saw on TV yesterday, it made me wonder about this super power know as the US of A. How can they claim to be all about the people if they can allow 50 year old men to marry 16 year olds who want nothing to do with this...Then again, who am I to judge this, I mean I know only what I saw, but am I the only person who thinks that this is just some odd paradox?? Anyhow...
that's all I got in me right now...

ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzzzzzzz...
I've got "Rock'n'Roll" by Led Zepplin is stuck in my head...It's just there, playing over and over again...I like the song, but I wonder if next time I hear it over the radio I won't chuck the thing out a window or something...hmmm...So yes, it's been a while since I've posted, and although no one reads this blog, it matters to me and I have some feeling that I should justify myself. I had two shows this past weekend so basically I worked an extra work week in 2 days...hourra!...and now I just want to sleep and sleep and...you guessed it...sleep! Maybe I should take a week off soon to rest and nothing more. That'll never happen though...m next vacation is at the end of August so until then...I guess I'll be pooped and probably disgruntled and by that I mean that I'll be worse than usual. Anyhow, I guess I should get back to work...ZzZzZzZz...
